Preparation time: approx. 25 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients
450 g cherries, stoned
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp water
¼ tsp cinnamon
300 ml milk
200 ml water
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
150 g familia müesli
(e.g. Bio Birchermüesli)
100 ml full-fat cream, whipped to stiff peaks
2 bsp unsalted shelled pistachio nuts,
roughly chopped
Method
- Combine cherries, sugar, water and cinnamon in a pan
and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Heat the milk, water, sugar and salt
to the boil, add the müesli, and simmer over
low heat for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Take the pan off the heat.
- Mix the whipping cream with the porridge
and top with the cherry compote. Sprinkle with the chopped pistachios.
Tip
Use frozen cherries instead of
fresh.
